About the Program

The Graduate Program in Administration (PPGA) of the Department of Administration and Economics (DAE) of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), which includes a Master’s (created in 1975) and PhD (created in 2001) programs, has been organized, in a consistent manner, to contribute to the development of knowledge in the Area of Administration.

 To this end, the objectives defined were:

  • Educate high level masters and doctors, from innovative theoretical and methodological references, with profile for teaching, research and executive functions, thus contributing to the development of organizations and of their economic and social agents;

  • Develop in-depth research using existing research groups and others in development, seeking to socialize the knowledge to the scientific community.

Since 1983, the PPGA is affiliated to the Brazilian National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Administration (ANPAD).

Since its creation, the PPGA has maintained several agreements with foreign and national universities, and its faculty is distinguished by the insertion in research and intellectual production.
