Since its establishment in 1988, The Graduate Program in Plant Physiology has the objective of shaping qualified professionals, generate, transmit and disseminate knowledge in the field of Plant Physiology by means of teaching a high level university research, providing to the market professors/researchers, masters and doctors with foundation on ethical and humane principals.

In the balance of twenty four years master´s degree and twelve years of doctorate degree, the Program has registered numbers that show its trajectory towards excellence with the graduate of 179 masters and 55 doctors in Plant Physiology, with all egresses currently inserted into the labor market, in prominent position, as doctorate students or as researchers/professors in research centers and public and private universities.

The laboratories and greenhouses with modern infrastructure aid in conducting research and performance of the activities, generating good results for the program.
