About the Program
The Graduation Program in Wood Science and Technology was recommended by CAPES in the meeting of the Technical-Scientific Council of June 7th 2006. In 2008, 40 students, distributed in the levels of stricto sensu master’s and doctorate degrees, are involved in distinct projects, with wood as the central research theme.

Objective
To train professionals in a level of excellence, capacitating them to face challenged demanded by contemporary society in the activities of teaching, research and development in the field of Wood Science and Technology. Aspects inherent to wood and its use, such as its low environmental impact, good adaptation and application materials for construction, furniture, energy and many others will be highlighted in the Program.
The masters and doctors in Wood Science and Technology must, at the end of the program, master the investigation techniques of the field, producing new or relevant results to propose the use of wood for sustainable bases.
Target Public
Professionals graduated in Forest Engineering, Wood Industry Engineering, Wood Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, Chemistry, Mechanic Engineering, Production Engineering, Electric Engineering and professionals from correlated areas.
